  5. Paul, you make check this site for hotel accommodations in Baguio http://www.agoda.com/asia/philippines/baguio_banaue.html AGODA has comprehensive reviews from travelers around the world, from rates to services. Thus, it would really help us decide where to check in.

You may also check some discounts from ENSOGO, METRO DEAL, GROUPON, for discounts. I saw 50% 0ff 3Days2nights accommodation in Paladin hotel last week from GROUPON unfortunately, I run out of time to buy it. But there are still more offers to come, so check them out.

  6. Hi Branlet, thanks for your appreciation it inspires us to write more. Trail will be combination of road and off-road (mountain trail, river crossing). I can't particularly quantify % of trail now. One thing for sure, there would be lots of uphill running. So might want to consider bringing a trekking pole.

Yes, I would certainly update this blog for gears to use and personal preparations that we are doing, since it's also our first time for this kind of marathon.

  8. Hi! This would be my first time to join the 50k trail run for tnf. I'm just really concerned that the briefing for runners is set on april 20 at 6pm, which leaves me just a few hours of sleep before getting ready for the actual run. The runs I've joined in the past had their briefings a few weeks prior to the event but this one is just too close. I've tried contacting the organizers via the tnf website and the event facebook page as early as a march but i never got any reply. Could you help me by providing the contact details of the organizers so i can call them? the event is next week already. many thanks!

    Eileen

  13. Hi! so disappointed that TNF don't answer inquiries in their FB page and even on email that i had sent them. My question is very simple, if 22K runners are not included in the briefing. I had been asking for a week already (2 weeks pa ata) ala reply, and here I am typing this with only a few hours to go, have not filed for a leave in the office. =( Sana dito na lang ako nagtanong.

Kasama po ba ang 22K sa briefing?

    1. Hi lzyrnnr, our apologies for the very late reply. We're also a victim of a TNF's "not so detailed" way of informing the participants. We went there Friday for the briefing (we're also set for 22k BTW) Since the way they delivered the announcement for briefing seems to be for all categories. So we don't bother much of confirming that issue. Well, I wish we did. We're cramming on that day just to be there by 3PM so much hassle. We arrived around 3:30 pm just to discover that briefing was only for the 50 and 100 km. Such a dismay and I think there were a couple of 22 and 11 km categories that also went there for the briefing.

Our apologies also for the participants that went there for the briefing, As we announce it on our "TNF PH FAN PAGE", we did the best we could to answer some inquiries. We will bring up this issue to TNF's managements as a constructive feedback.
