This is our first time to join this much awaited event every year since its started in 2008, thus every details about this event is worth knowing. And we're here to share what we got. So here you guys for the first timers and regulars. 

The north face 100 invites you to run further than you ever have in 2012! Promoting the genuine spirit of exploration since its kick start in 2008, The North Face 100 has become the most  well-received and anticipated distance trail running series of seven Asia Pacific countries in fifth year: Thailand, Taiwan, Philippines, China, Australia, Singapore and Japan. Whether you are an aspiring trail running beginner or a seasoned racer looking for new challenges, unparallel experience is offered in each competition of this region’s largest trail running series. Break all boundaries, and Never Stop Exploring.


The North Face is inviting everyone to our big event this year, the The North Face 100 which aims to test the limits of human endurance. The North Face 100 this year will be held in Baguio and will be holding 11K, 22K, 50K and 100K races. If you are interested, kindly visit our stores and our partners for registration.

100km and 50km Race Mechanics
Recommended Gears:

  • Hydration equipment (water bottles or water bladder up to 2 liters)
  • Dry bag or plastic bag to keep gears dry
  • Trail food to last several hours
  • Jacket (Rain/Wind)
  • Thermal Blanket
  • Headlamp/Flash lights (with spare bulb and batteries)
  • Blinker or reflective equipment
  • 1 Mobile phone with at least 100 credits (to call or text in case of emergency)
  • Whistle
  • First aid kit
  • Map case
  • Map of the course (provided by the organizers)
  • Cap or hat
  • Extra clothing/shoes
  • Trekking poles
  • Sun block or Sun Screen
  • Extra pair of socks
  • Petroleum Jelly, Body Glide, Vaseline, Etc.

Mandatory gears should be carried by the runner at all times during the race. Random checks will be conducted by the organizers and a runner without the mandatory gears will not be allowed to proceed with the race until the missing item is replaced.

Rules and Regulations

  • Organizers retain the right to modify the course, rules, and regulations, delay the start, hold any runners in the course or stop the race in the event of any weather disturbances or any unforeseen incidents in the race course. Any decisions made by the organizers are final.
  • Organizers maintain the right to remove any participants from the race. Injuries and medical emergencies are the utmost priority.
  • Runners must complete the whole marked course on foot under your own power.
  • Outside assistance is only permitted at the designated aid stations. Participants would be responsible for their own support crews.
  • Race numbers should be visible at all times.

  • Time penalties may be imposed by the race organizers on runners who do not follow race rules.
  • Runners must deposit all of their race equipments to the organizers before the race. Runners can access their gears in designated points of the course which will be announced during the race briefing.
  • Runners must pass through all the check points of race organizers.
  • In the case of withdrawal, runners must approach the nearest check point or aid station and inform the organizers.
  • Night equipment should be worn in specific locations or time as mandated by the race organizers.
  • Runners should follow the marked course. Failure to follow the marked course may result to penalties or disqualification.
  • Cut-off times will be designated by the race organizers throughout the race course for safety reasons.
  • Runners are forbidden to alter any directional signs, markings, or kilometer post found throughout the race course.
  • Support crews, must follow the rules of the organizers at all times.
  • Organizers may disqualify from racing any runner who they feel is injured or cannot continue.
  • Time penalties may be imposed by the race organizers on runners who do not follow race rules.
  • All protests related to the result must be made in writing and submitted to the Race Organizer within 30 minutes after the official announcement of winners. A protest fee of Php. 500.00 will be collected upon submission of every written protest.

Unfortunately some copies were tampered meaning TNF bands were removed. Shame, please people be considerate, that is considered theft and punishable by law.
